The Honourable E. Susan Elliott, a lawyer with Good Elliott Hawkins LLP in Kingston, was appointed a judge of the Federal Court on June 19, 2015.

Madam Justice Elliott received a Bachelor of Commerce in 1975 from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1979. She was admitted to the Bar of Ontario in 1981. She had been a partner with the firm Good Elliott Hawkins (formerly Good & Elliott) since 1981, and during that time she had been General Counsel, Legal Line of Business, Teranet Inc., from 1998 to 2007. She also served as Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada; as well as Hearing Commissioner, part time, for the Rent Review Commissioner of Ontario.

Madam Justice Elliott had served as a Deputy Justice of the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court - East Region, since 2009. She had been a member of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce since 1981 and a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1991. She had been Pro Bono Counsel to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Kingston since 1987 and to the Seniors Association, Kingston Region, since 2002. She was awarded the Law Society of Upper Canada's top honour, the Law Society Medal.
