The Honourable Patrick K. Gleeson

Mr. Justice Gleeson was born in Saint John, New Brunswick. He enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1980. He was educated at le Collège Militaire Royal de Saint-Jean, the University of New Brunswick and the McGill Institute of Air and Space Law. Mr. Justice Gleeson was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 1994. He served as a legal officer in the Office of the Judge Advocate General where he held numerous positions, retiring in the rank of Colonel.He was appointed to the Order of Military Merit in 2012 and named Queen’s Counsel in 2013. Appointed Justice of the Federal Court and ex officio, member of the Federal Court of Appeal on May 28, 2015. Appointed as a Judge of the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada on June 19, 2015.
